Terms of service

What QuoteOP is

QuoteOP is a Chrome extension and a web service, operated by Miro Nowa Perspektywa Sp. z o.o., Podolska 21, 81-321 Gdynia, Poland (KRS 0001072476 · NIP 7011177154 · VAT PL7011177154 · REGON 527070337). Registry court: Sąd Rejonowy Gdańsk-Północ w Gdańsku, VIII Wydział Gospodarczy Krajowego Rejestru Sądowego · Share capital: 50 000,00 zł. In these terms, “we” means the company.

• The extension saves the Alibaba.com supplier chats you choose, with their files, on your computer.
• With Cloud copy on, it also saves them in your QuoteOP account. Cloud copy is your choice: the side panel asks before your first scan, and you can switch it on or off in the extension’s Settings.
• The extension exports chats as a ZIP file or a web page.
• The web service provides sign-in and the Cloud copy.

QuoteOP is meant for business use by Alibaba.com buyers. Scanning chats, automatic updates and the Cloud copy need a paid subscription, as Subscription and price says.

Your account

You need an account to use the extension. New accounts open with the public release. Until then, we create accounts only for the people we invite.

• One person per account. An account belongs to the one person whose email address it uses. Do not share it, and do not use someone else’s account.
• Your email address. Use an address that you control and can read. We send codes and notices about your account there.
• Keep your ways of signing in to yourself. That means your email inbox, your password, your passkeys, your authenticator app and your recovery codes. Never give anyone a code from our emails or from your authenticator app. We never ask for them. Tell us at support@quoteop.app if you think someone else is using your account.
• Responsibility. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Repeated failed sign-ins. To protect accounts, we may pause a way of signing in after repeated failed attempts. After many wrong codes in a row, we may pause sign-in with emailed codes for up to 24 hours. After many wrong passwords in a row, we may turn sign-in with a password off until you reset your password. We tell you by email when we do either, and your other ways of signing in keep working.
• Deleting your account. You can delete your account on the Account page of this site at any time. We delete your account and its Cloud copy 30 days after you ask. Until then, sign in and choose Keep my account to undo it. Asking signs out your other browsers, and the browser you asked from stays signed in. During those 30 days, the extension can neither read nor change your Cloud copy. The deletion itself runs at our daily clean-up, within a day after those 30 days. Chats saved on your computers and your exports stay.

Subscription and price

• QuoteOP has one plan: a monthly subscription at $14.99 a month, or €14.99 a month in euros. In other currencies, Stripe shows the price converted at checkout.
• The price includes VAT, sales tax and similar taxes. You pay the price shown at checkout, and nothing is added to it.
• The subscription covers scanning chats, automatic updates of saved chats, exports and the Cloud copy. Chats already saved on your computer stay readable and exportable without it.
• There is no free trial. The subscription starts when your first payment goes through. It renews every month, and each payment covers the month ahead, until you cancel it.
• You subscribe under Subscription on the Account page, and change or cancel it there with Manage subscription.
• We may change the price for future months. We tell you by email at least 30 days before, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

Payment through Stripe

Payments go through Stripe Managed Payments. For each payment, Stripe’s company Sold through Link, LLC (“Link”) is the merchant of record. It takes the payment, charges and pays the taxes, and emails your receipts and invoices. Your card statement shows LINK.COM and QuoteOP.

We provide the service itself under these terms. The payment terms and privacy notice shown at Stripe’s checkout apply to the payment. We never see your full card number. Link’s support may also answer questions about a payment, and may refund one.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time with Manage subscription on the Account page, or through Link at link.com. QuoteOP keeps working until the end of the month you paid for, and no further payment is taken. We do not refund the rest of a month when you cancel, except as Money back within 30 days and Your right to withdraw say.

Money back within 30 days

If QuoteOP is not right for you, write to support@quoteop.app within 30 days of your first payment, and tell us what is wrong. That is the only thing we ask. We then refund that payment in full, and your subscription ends at once.

The refund goes back the way you paid, through Stripe. Your bank usually shows it within 5 to 10 working days. Chats saved on your computer stay, and When the subscription ends says what happens to your Cloud copy.

Your right to withdraw (consumers and some sole traders)

This section applies if you buy QuoteOP as a consumer. It also applies if you are a sole trader and QuoteOP has no professional character for you, as your business registration shows. In Poland, art. 7aa of the Consumer Rights Act (ustawa o prawach konsumenta) gives sole traders this right.

• You may withdraw from the subscription within 14 days of the day you first subscribed, without giving a reason.
• To withdraw, send us a clear statement before those 14 days end, by email to support@quoteop.app or by post to Miro Nowa Perspektywa Sp. z o.o., Podolska 21, 81-321 Gdynia, Poland. It is on time if you send it within the 14 days.
• You may use this text, though you do not have to: “I withdraw from my contract for the QuoteOP subscription. Subscribed on: [date]. Name: [your name]. Email address of my QuoteOP account: [address]. Date: [today’s date].”
• We confirm your statement by email, end the subscription and refund the full payment within 14 days of receiving it. The refund goes back the way you paid. We charge nothing for the days you used.
• When you subscribe, you ask us to start the service at once, within the 14 days. Under art. 38 ust. 1 pkt 1 of that act, you lose the right to withdraw only once we have fully provided the service you paid for. A month of QuoteOP is fully provided only at its end, after the 14 days, so you can withdraw at any time within them.

When the subscription ends

The subscription ends at the end of the paid month after you cancel, when we refund it as above, or when Stripe ends it after failed payments. Then:

• scanning, automatic updates and new Cloud copy uploads stop;
• we email you once, with the date your Cloud copy will be deleted. That date is at least 7 days after the subscription ended. If you subscribe again before then, your Cloud copy stays;
• after that date, our daily clean-up deletes your Cloud copy;
• chats saved on your computer stay, and you can still open and export them. Your account stays until you delete it.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, Stripe tries again over the following days, and Link may email you to update your payment method. QuoteOP keeps working meanwhile. A failed payment alone never cancels your subscription. If Stripe still cannot collect the payment after its last try, the subscription ends, and When the subscription ends applies.

Acceptable use

Use QuoteOP only for chats from your own Alibaba.com account, that is, chats you are a party to. You are responsible for complying with Alibaba.com’s terms of use and with the laws that apply to you. This includes data-protection law for the personal data of the people you chat with. Do not try to access other users’ data, interfere with or overload the service, or use it for anything unlawful.

Use your saved chats for your own business records, such as checking what a supplier offered or agreed. Do not publish other people’s messages, and do not use QuoteOP to build lists of suppliers for others.

Your data

Your chats, files and exports stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only as far as needed to provide the service. You can delete your Cloud copy at any time in the extension’s Settings. The privacy policy explains what is stored and where.

Your Cloud copy holds personal data, such as the names and contact details of supplier staff. For that data, you are the controller under the GDPR and we are your processor. Our data processing terms below are part of these terms and apply to it.

Data processing terms (GDPR Article 28)

These terms apply to the personal data in the chats and files of your Cloud copy. For your account, billing, sign-ins, security and support, we are the controller, and the privacy policy applies instead.

• What and why. We store the chats and files you save in your Cloud copy, show them on your other computers, and delete them when you ask. We do this only to provide QuoteOP to you, for as long as you keep a Cloud copy.
• Whose data. The messages, files, names, company names, contact details and Alibaba.com account IDs in your saved chats. They are about you, your colleagues and the suppliers’ staff you chat with.
• Your instructions. We process this data only on your instructions: these terms, and what you do in QuoteOP, such as Scan this chat, Delete all data in the cloud or Delete account. If EU or Polish law requires anything else, we tell you first, unless that law forbids it.
• Nothing else. We do not combine chats from different customers, build lists of suppliers, or use chat content for anything else. We never sell it or send it to AI services.
• Confidentiality. Only people who run QuoteOP for us can reach the data, only when the work needs it, and they are bound to keep it confidential.
• Protection. The data is sent over HTTPS, kept on servers in the EU and in our backups, and only your account can read it through QuoteOP. Our automated tests check that boundary.
• Subprocessors. You allow us to use these companies for your Cloud copy: Supabase, Inc. (database, hosted in Ireland), CyberFolks (our server and files, in Poland) and Cloudflare, Inc. (the network that carries connections to quoteop.app). If you send chat content to support, Proton AG keeps it in our support mailbox in Switzerland. Each is bound by a data processing agreement with the same duties.
• Changes to subprocessors. We tell you by email at least 30 days before we add or replace one. You can object by writing to support@quoteop.app. If we cannot meet your objection, you can cancel, and we refund the unused part of your month.
• Transfers. Supabase and Cloudflare are US companies. Any transfer outside the EU relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where the company takes part, and on the Standard Contractual Clauses in its data processing agreement.
• Help with requests. We help you answer people who ask about their data, such as a supplier’s staff member. If such a request reaches us, we pass it to you within 3 working days and do not answer it ourselves without you.
• Breaches. If a breach affects your Cloud copy, we tell you by email without undue delay, with what we know. We also help you with security, breach notices and impact assessments, as far as our role allows.
• At the end. When you delete your Cloud copy or your account, or your subscription ends, we delete the data as the privacy policy says. That includes our backups, after the times it gives. Before that, exports and Settings › Download your Cloud copy give you a copy.
• Checks. On request, we give you the information you need to show that these terms are kept. A check of our premises needs 30 days’ notice, is at your cost, and happens at most once a year.

QuoteOP and Alibaba.com

QuoteOP is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by Alibaba.com. Alibaba.com is a trademark of its owner. QuoteOP is also not connected to Alibaba Group. The name Alibaba.com is used only to describe what QuoteOP works with. Alibaba.com can change its website at any time, which can stop QuoteOP from working until it is updated.

QuoteOP works in your browser, inside your own Alibaba.com account. It reads messages only from the chat open in Message Center. It saves a chat only after you click Scan this chat. After that, it adds new messages while that chat is open on Alibaba.com.

QuoteOP does not read chats you have not opened. It does not go through your list of chats, and it does not sign in to Alibaba.com for you. It loads older messages one page at a time, at most one page every 3 seconds. For chats you saved, it downloads their files again only when you click Save files, Export or Download, one file at a time. If Alibaba.com shows a check, a warning or a sign-in page, QuoteOP stops and does not try again by itself.

Alibaba.com’s terms of use apply to your Alibaba.com account, and they limit copying content from Alibaba.com. Alibaba.com has not reviewed QuoteOP. You decide whether QuoteOP fits your use of Alibaba.com, and you are responsible for that account.

We may change or switch off a feature if Alibaba.com objects to it. We tell you by email before the change when we can, and chats on your computer and your exports stay.

Availability and changes

QuoteOP is provided as it is, without a promise that it is free of errors or always available. Features, limits and these terms can change. Changes that matter to you are posted here with a new date before they apply.

Your Cloud copy has limits, and the extension’s Settings shows how much file space you use. Files over 128 MB stay on your computer only, and QuoteOP does not save files over 256 MB. If QuoteOP is discontinued, we tell you by email at least 30 days before, so you can export your chats.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost data or lost business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for QuoteOP in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit. Consumers keep the rights their local law gives them.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using QuoteOP at any time by uninstalling the extension. To delete your Cloud copy, use Delete all data in the cloud in the extension’s Settings before you uninstall it. Or delete your account on the Account page of this site, which deletes the Cloud copy with it 30 days after you ask. Uninstalling does not cancel your subscription: cancel it on the Account page. Deleting your account ends the subscription at the latest when the account is deleted, so cancel first if a payment falls due before then. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we tell you why by email.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Poland. Disputes go to the competent court in Poland. If the law of your country of residence lets you bring them where you live, you keep that right.
